Why study Visual Arts?
The arts are an eternal necessity of human culture, whether drawing an image on a page or sculpting a figure in three dimensions.
It teaches problem-solving and undergraduate tutors analytical skills, improves attention span and focus, and fosters creativeness. Arts professions are in demand in different industries, such as animation and website design. Everything we do then takes on meaning if it’s involved in art. On the other hand, established artists work as both teachers and students simultaneously—and need to explore both old-school and new technologies to do it well.
There is so much to learn about the person behind the painting and how art can be so many things at once. And through art, we find expression of our ineffable feelings, thoughts, ideas and obsessions, of theme meaning that’s difficult to articulate in words.
Art offers an entry point into history — for example, by interpreting a particular architectural style or period costume design- it can prompt discussions about events and confrontations from 100 years ago or 50 centuries ago. Art provokes responses- whether positive or negative- which allow us to understand what we love and loathe in ourselves as human beings who live together on this planet.»
If you’re interested in pursuing a career that will allow you to express yourself through your creativity, then studying Visual Arts is perfect for you!
