Tale
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as their long-standing rivalry comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner had previously filmed at Chavenage House (the Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was used to depict Trenwith House in the BBC TV adaptation of Poldark in 2015. I laugh at some of the reviews, obviously from readers who take themselves too seriously. This is an adaptation of Jilly Cooper. It’s not a series to be intellectualized or morally condemned. She is so much fun. Excellent acting. Yes, RCB’s hair and eyes are the wrong color. So is Taggies hair. But they do. Somehow.RCB will disappoint some for this reason. But Alex Hassell captures everything else about him. Danny Dyer is perfect. David Tennant is AWESOME as always. And Aidan Turner is simply gorgeous, if a bit young to play Declan. It falters slightly in the last third. But yes. It’s incredibly fun. I watched everything in one go.
